Main project activities:
• Analysis and assessment of foreign practices and formulation of recommendations relating to the international experience in the identification of objective and priorities for flood risk management, which are applicable at the national level;
• Analysis and assessment of the institutional capacity of the WARBD;
• Analysis of the maps of the areas at risk of floods and of the flood hazard maps;
• Assessment of the maps of the Areas at Significant Potential Flood Risk;
• Analysis of documents relating to the identification of objectives and priorities for flood risk management;
• Recommendation of objectives and priorities for flood risk management;
• Identification/formulation of the objective and priorities for flood risk management in the WARBD;
• Identification and valuation of the measures from the Flood Risk Management Program
• Assessment of the individual measures/combination of measures and selection of the most efficient measure/combination of measures;
• Elaboration of scenarios, assessment of the individual scenarios of the Program of Measures and selection of a scenario;
• Identifying the sources of financing of the measures, included in the Program of Measures;
• Institutional analysis of the competent institutions/persons for implementation of the measures;
• Setting deadlines for implementation of the measures and elaboration of a timetable for implementation of the Program of Measures.
